Our client, a leading privately held company, doing business across the globe, is looking for a VP Global Business Development who has clearly demonstrated leadership abilities and can excel as an integral player in the executive management team to join their Montreal head office. The incumbent must have a proven track record in one or more of the following areas: Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Finance, Investment Banking and/or Business Development. An outstanding opportunity to use your significant business experience in a client-focused, cutting edge industry.

Exigences:

* Must have 7-12 years of business experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Finance, Investment Banking and/or Business Development with an established firm or company

* MBA from a top tier university and/or Bachelor degree and graduate degree in business, finance, law or related field from a top tier university

* Proven leadership abilities and experience negotiating with business owners

* Entrepreneurial, a self-starter with desire/experience managing a business, but sees the benefits of working within a large company and sophisticated structure

* Energetic, confident, driven, adaptable, organized, ability to prioritize, can work without direct supervision, team player with high regard and sensitivity to customer needs

* Professional demeanour, ability to maintain a trusted client relationship

* Competitive edge and desire to excel

* Strong written and oral English communication skills

* U.S. experience and/or International experience are an asset

* Available for travel on short notice

The incumbent will work with the current executive management team and be exposed to: Sales/Marketing, Finance, Operations, Global Business Opportunities, Global Sales Strategy, Change Management, Corporate Strategy, and potential M&A activity. Responsibilities include exploring emerging opportunities, devising and executing strategy for client selection and business performance as a means to evolve business models and stimulate new growth opportunities.
