Our client, a Canadian investment dealer is seeking a dynamic, business oriented lawyer to join the team as an Investment Banking Associate.
Reporting to the VP, Investment Banking group, in this exciting opportunity you will be responsible for execution and closing of equity financings and M&A transactions for private and public companies. You will take advantage of this opportunity to hone your financial proficiency and expand your knowledge of financial markets, and develop your skills in financial modeling, DCF analysis, multiple and premium analysis, and financial statements. In addition your role will include preparing client presentations, performing due diligence and database maintenance.
Requirements:
You are the ideal candidate if you:
-have 1-4 years of securities law practice
-have an undergraduate degree in commerce
-are business and financially minded
-are a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed
-have the ability to deal with pressure and deadlines
-have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
