Our client a world leading biotechnology/ renewable energy company, is looking to add a Corporate Counsel to their Ottawa team.
Reporting to General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal services for the company in a wide range of commercial activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including non disclosure, materials transfer, R&D collaboration, technology licenses, sales and distribution,
•Advising on tendering procedures and practices relating to tendering for equipment purchases and construction services;
•Working closely with internal departments, including Intellectual Property, R&D, Engineering, Finance and Procurement;
•Drafting and administering policies and procedures;
•Providing legal advice to all levels of the organization including senior management; and
•Liaising with outside counsel, as required.
Requirements:

-have approximately 3-7 years of related experience
-have significant experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
-have a practical and business minded approach
-have strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
