Our client, a provider of Title Insurance and related products is looking to expand its team by adding an Underwriting Lawyer to its Toronto office.
Reporting to the Sr. Counsel/VP Canadian Division, the Underwriting Lawyer will handle customer and internal underwriting inquiries related to title insurance policy coverage.
Your role will also include title insurance policy development, original policy quality control and signing, review and assistance with title and funding components of commercial programs, organization of and attendance at trade shows and conferences, business development efforts and marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
You are the ideal candidate if you:
have minimum 2 years of experience in real estate law
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
are a self starter with lots of initiative
have excellent organization and planning skills
*Title insurance knowledge is an asset
