Our client, a provider of Title Insurance and related products is looking to expand its team by adding a Claims Lawyer to its Toronto office.
Reporting to the Sr. Counsel/VP Canadian Division, the Claims Lawyer will be responsible for the handling of claims matters including: general claims inquiries on an ?as needed? basis, preparing correspondence and investigating claim inquiries to determine valid claims, evaluating claim inquiries and making recommendations, negotiating settlements, overseeing/directing litigation matters, evaluating potential monetary losses, contributing to Claims update component of website.
Requirements:
You are the ideal candidate if you:
have minimum 2 years of experience in real estate law
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
are a self starter with lots of initiative
have excellent organization and planning skills
*Title insurance knowledge is an asset
