LEGAL CONSULTANT - PENSIONS
Our client, a global human resources outsourcing and consulting firm is expanding. They are looking to add a Legal Consultant with pensions experience to their Retirement and Financial Management practice in Vancouver.
The Legal Consultant will work with lawyers within the company to assist clients and consultants with legal aspects of human resources including pensions, benefits, income tax, governance, employment standards and human rights.
Your responsibilities will include:
making presentations to clients, boards of trustees and other plan administrators regarding governance and legal issues;
leading and facilitating best practices discussions;
drafting and delivering plan amendments, legal consulting advice;
examining legal issues and communicating with other lawyers;
assisting in marketing/business development, including making short list presentations;
assisting with due diligence reviews in merger/acquisition situations;
participation in local professional bodies;
keeping other colleagues up to date on new developments in applicable legislation;
traveling to client locations
Requirements:
