Our client, one of Canada?s largest human resource and actuarial consulting firms, is expanding. They are looking to add a Pension Lawyer to their Halifax team.
Reporting to the Managing Partner, Actuarial Pension Practice, you will be responsible for working in a team and providing support services to internal clients and consulting services to external clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
-providing guidance to consultatnt, clients and pension administrators regarding legislative requirements and industry developments
-ensuiring compliance of clients plans with all pension standards and Income Tax Act requirements
-attending meetings, developing reports, giving presentations
-reviewing trust documentation
-participating in industry organizations
-assist in the development of new business with existing clients
Requirements:
You are the ideal candidate if you:
-have a minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in pension and benefits law or related
-have exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex information
-have excellent writing and research skills and attention to detail
-have exceptional client focus with strong professional acumen
-have excellent communication, project management and presentation skills
