Our client, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company is expanding. They are looking to add a Commercial Lawyer to their Toronto team.
Working within the Legal and Commercial business practice, you will be responsible for providing focused, practical legal advice and solutions. You will work closely with clients to help maximize revenue and minimize risk, while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Your responsibilities will include:
-representing company?s interests at negotiations
-drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of contracts
-strategizing with company executives
-developing risk mitigation strategies
-structuring client transactions to be most advantageous from legal and business perspectives
-staying abreast of legal developments affecting the company, clients and industries
-educating company executives in regard to legal and risk management issues
Requirements:

-have strong commercial transaction experience
-have exceptional communication and advocacy skills
-you have a good understanding of the IT services business, and finance/accounting principles
-have experience negotiating and resolving IP and other complex commercial contractual issues
-are able to manage multiple projects, reports, expectations and concerns
-are proactive, insightful and resourceful
-have strong analytical skills and business acumen
-have strong organizational and time-management skills
-excellent negotiation, influence, and collaboration skills
