Job Description:
 
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Labour and Employment Lawyer to join an established and well-regarded labour & employment firm with cutting edge work providing trusted advice to well known employers in Canada and Internationally.
 
The role offers great mentorship, the opportunity to work closely with each of the partners (most of whom are ranked by Lexpert, Chambers Canada, Benchmark, Who’s who and Best Lawyers), and recognized leaders in the employment, labour and human rights sector.
 
As part of this collegial team, the successful candidate will provide Employer-side advice and counsel on a range of labour and employment matters in diverse industries with a focus on:

• Defence of wrongful dismissal;
• Human rights claims;
• Workplace investigations;
• Restrictive covenant cases and;
• Construction labour relations matters.

 
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:

• Have a JD or LLB and be admitted to the British Columbia Bar;
• Have between 2 and 9 years of of labour and/or employment law experience
• Be business and client development oriented;
• Have excellent academic credentials and very strong analytical and writing skills;
• Truly be a team player, personable, and;
• Have an interest in and ability to run files with minimal supervision and oversight;
• Be interested in mentorship, career growth and a long-term career focus.
