Real Estate Law Associate 1-3 Years
Overview
Job Description:Our client, a leading Global Law Firm is seeking to add a motivated associate with 1-3 years of Real Estate law experience to join their Vancouver office's leading Commercial Real Estate group.
As part of one of the city's most recognized and diverse real estate practices, the successful candidate will be involved in a range of files including multi-family and mixed-use developments, investment properties, and commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions. You will also work with their thriving development practice advising clients on various projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
You will be part of a truly collaborative team, and as such must have a strong interest and previous experience in the real estate sector and thrive in a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently.
Working alongside and supporting leading practitioners in the industry, you will demonstrate leading substantive and practical skills for your year of call, an ability to think creatively, analytically and practically.
Previous experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing and the Real Estate Development Marketing Act will be considered an asset.

Requirements:
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- A JD/LLB and be a Member of Law Society of British Columbia.
- 1-3 Years of Commercial Real Estate Law Experience ideally gained either a large law firm or specialized real estate law boutique. Dispositions, acquisitions, development, financings and leasing experience are highly desired.
- Excellent Academic Credentials.
- A demonstrated ability to think analytically, critically and creatively.
- A desire to work with and learn from leading practitioners in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to pick up things quickly with a proactive approach to problem solving
- The ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
- A strong orientation towards to delivering a high level standard of service
