Patent Agent and/or IP Lawyer
Overview
This is an outstanding opportunity for a Patent Agent and/or IP Lawyer to join the Intellectual Property group of a leading full-service law firm in Ottawa.The successful candidate will bring a minimum of five years of relevant experience in intellectual property and patent law, along with a strong desire tocontribute to a dynamic and collaborative team.
This role offers the opportunityto work alongside highly regarded professionals on sophisticated matters while taking on meaningful responsibility within a supportive and collegial environment.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- A registered Patent Agent in Canada;
- An LL.B. or J.D.; membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario is considered an asset;
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in IP and patent law;
- Strong expertise in intellectual property and patent matters;
- Solid business acumen and client-facing skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities;
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively;
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team;
- Bilingual (French and English) is considered an asset.
