Overview

Our client, a dynamic law firm with varied a varied practice, is looking to bring on a Junior Real Estate Lawyer to their growing team. This is an in-office position located in Toronto that has the potential to turn hybrid after some time.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of transactional real estate experience and a keen interest in offshoots such as commercial lending and leasing.

Your role will include:

Leading commercial and residential real estate transactions, which included the
preparation of closing agendas, management of applicable security documents,
and oversight of escrow funds
Conducting comprehensive title searches using Teraview, identifying liens or easements,
and reviewing lengthy lease abstracts to identify critical risks
Acting on behalf of lenders or borrowers in real estate financing transactions, drafting
required security documents and negotiating title insurance policies
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex retail, office, and industrial leases, including
ancillary documents like tenant acknowledgments and non-disturbance
agreements
Serving as a primary point of contact for landlords, tenants, and institutional lenders,
providing clear legal advice on transaction terms and operational lease
interpretations

You are the ideal candidate if you have/ are:

An Ontario called Lawyer with 2-4 years of post-call experience in a transactional real estate practice with an
emphasis on commercial leasing
A JD or LLB
A keen desire to grow within a strong firm, learning broader strands of real estate law to develop the practice
Advanced proficiency in with Teraview, Lawyer done Deal, Unity and Ghost Practice
are an asset.

The compensation range is $120,000-$150,000 dependent on experience and qualifications.
