Legal Counsel
Overview
Outstanding opportunity to work as a Legal Counsel and join an existing legal team at a public company and work on sophisticated matters among talented professionals that offers a dynamic and innovative work environment, stimulating files and a collaborative setting. This is a hybrid role.Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements re: business services;
- Provide legal advice and guidance re: company's objectives and ensure applicable rules are adhered to;
- Draft and review organizational policies and procedures;
- Advise multiple business units to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and frameworks; and
- Keep abreast of market developments and derivative rules.
- A member in good standing of the Quebec Bar;
- Approximately 4-7 years of experience in financial markets and derivatives;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Ability to handle competing priorities and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team dynamic;
- Solid business acumen and be solution oriented; and
- Bilingual (English and French);
