Our client, a highly regarded mid-sized business law firm in downtown Vancouver is looking to add a Corporate/Securities Associate to join its established Securities, Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with broad corporate and securities experience who is looking for sophisticated transactional work, direct client involvement and a genuine long-term career path within a collaborative and supportive firm.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced practitioners and clients on:

Public and private financings;
Public and private mergers and acquisitions;
Corporate finance and securities matters;
Commercial transactions involving public and private companies; and
General corporate and commercial matters.

The role offers meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to entrepreneurs, executives, investors and public-company clients, providing an excellent platform to develop lasting relationships and build a strong practice within British Columbia’s business community.

Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

2-5 years of corporate/commercial and securities law experience;
Experience with financings, public and private M&A, corporate finance and general corporate matters;
Excellent judgment and strong business acumen;
Exceptional client-service and interpersonal skills; and
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

The anticipated annual salary range is $130,000 to $195,000, plus a discretionary bonus.

Actual compensation will depend on the successful candidate’s year of call, experience and depth of practice-area expertise.
