Tax Law Associate (Toronto) 3+ Years
Overview
Our client, a reputable National law firm is to add a Tax Associate Lawyer to their Toronto Tax Group.The successful candidate will be part of a collegial team of leading tax practitioners and have the opportunity to work on an array of tax matters on behalf of their clients including; multinational enterprises.
You will be part of a team of experts acting as trusted, business-savvy advisors, advising on complex tax and business matters as they relate to public company and/or private equity transactions (mergers and acquisitions; corporate and partnership reorganizations; debt restructurings, debt and equity financings, divestitures).
Requirements:
The ideal candidate must:
- Be a member in good standing of the Ontario Bar.
- Have at least 3-5 years of tax law experience gained at a recognized national or regional law firm.
- Have significant Tax experience as it relates to large corporate transactions.
- Have excellent academic records
- Exceptional client service, and communication skills as well as strong business acumen; organizational abilities and willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
