Corporate Law Clerks (HYBRID)

Overview

Our client, a mid-size full-service law firm is looking to grow its Toronto office. They are looking for both full-time and part-time Corporate Law Clerks with 3+ years’ experience to join their Corporate group. This is an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Law Clerk to join a dynamic firm and further grow their practice in a professional and collaborative firm environment. 
 
Responsibilities  
 
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Providing support in corporate files including: annual minutes, annual returns, general compliance and corporate maintenance restructurings, reorganizations, incorporations, dissolutions, amalgamations, due diligence, share or asset purchase transactions and transactional work;
  • Preparing, reviewing, analyzing, researching, compiling and organizing legal documents in all stages of corporate transactions for lawyers.
  • Drafting a variety of documentation, including resolutions and agreements.
  • Initiating follow up actions where and when necessary.
  • Preparing reports on an as-needed basis.
  • Other administrative duties, as needed.
 
Requirements  
 
You are the ideal candidate if you have/are:
  • Diploma from a recognized Ontario Law Clerk program certified with The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario;
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience;
  • A proactive individual with outstanding organizational skills, a positive outlook, and adeptness at teamwork.
