Law Clerk- Personal Injury
Overview
Our client, a personal injury law firm known for its client-focused approach and dedication to achieving meaningful outcomes is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Law Clerk with a strong background in litigation to join their office.
Their office is located in the East end of the GTA. This is a part-time, 3 day/week position.
Responsibilities
This role will include:
- Completion of OCF forms for accident benefits;
- Assisting in managing accident benefits files from initial intake through to final resolution
- Preparing and drafting legal documentation, including applications, letters, and legal briefs
- Liaising with clients, insurance adjusters, and healthcare professionals regarding claim matters
- Coordinating schedules for medical assessments, examinations, and hearings
- Reviewing and organizing medical records, reports, and relevant documentation
- Ensuring client files are maintained, updated, and well-organized
- Drafting, and production of letters to insurance companies, doctors, etc.
- Scanning, photocopying, answering phones, scheduling meetings, coordinating with clients and opposing counsel;
Requirements
You are the ideal candidate if you have/are:
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience in Personal Injury
- Completion of a Legal Assistant, Law Clerk or Paralegal Program
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- High attention to detail and a proactive
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude
- Quick response time and ability to handle tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in scheduling meetings and managing calendars proactively and efficiently.
