Our client, an established and respected renowned Downtown Vancouver Business law firm is looking to add a senior Labour and Employment lawyer to their Labour and Employment Law Group.

This is a unique leadership opportunity for an established practitioner to step into a well-regarded, employer-side practice within a collaborative, full-service Vancouver law firm.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience advising employers on a broad range of workplace matters, including wrongful dismissal, human rights and discrimination claims, workplace investigations, employment standards, executive compensation, labour relations, and complex employment-related litigation. The role includes advocacy before courts, labour boards, arbitrators, and administrative tribunals, as well as providing strategic and practical advice to business leaders and human resources professionals.

As an integral member of the group, the successful candidate will provide practice leadership and mentorship, contribute to firm strategy, support business development initiatives, and help further strengthen the firm's employment and labour profile in the market.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

An LLB or JD and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
10+ years of focused labour and employment law experience
A strong background in employer-side advisory work and litigation
Demonstrated experience appearing before courts, labour boards, arbitrators, and administrative tribunals
An established professional reputation and a history of business development and client relationship management
Prior leadership or mentoring experience within a law firm or legal team
Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and written and oral communication skills
Commitment to exceptional client service, collaboration, and fostering an inclusive and supportive team culture
