Our client, a successful boutique Employment & Labour Law practice is looking to add a mid-senior level associate to work alongside the owner and founding partner, an accomplished Employment law practitioner, with the view taking over the practice in the coming years.

This well run firm advises on all aspects of employment and labour law, including a range of issues that impact the workplace from both the employer and employee perspectives.

Working alongside an accomplished Employment Lawyer with 30 years at the bar gained in leading National and boutique employment firms, the successful candidate will get to work on exciting, complex employment matters and files, become acquainted with their established network and clients and ultimately step into a managerial and ownership position.

The practice is established and well run with no shortage of clients or work.

Responsibilities

Working on various employment matters including:
- Representing and advising employers and employees on various work place issues and all aspects of the employment relationship (employment agreements, termination, human rights)
- Advising on benefit plans (pension, disability, insurance coverage)
- Managing relations between employers and non-union employees
- Representing clients in employment related litigation (arising from non-compete clauses and restrictive covenants)

Requirements

- You are a member in good standing of a CANADIAN BAR
- Have at least 5 years of experience and a proven track record in employment and labour law matters
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit
- Managerial experience is an asset
